Boshonto means spring in the Bengali language. Boshonto Utshob (Spring Festival) is celebrated with flowers and bright colors, music and dancing. Traditionally, women wear yellow saris, and girls put mehndi on their hands and sing "Aha aji a boshont" ("On this lovely spring day").
